Observation Hours


You are required to complete 30 observation hours prior to starting your field experience assignment (internship or clinical teaching). To make sure you can reach this goal, we allow you to document in-class or virtual observation hours.

Observation Options - detailed information regarding the 2 options

  • In-Class - up to 30 hours
  • Virtual - up to 15 hours
  • Long-Term Sub - up to 15 hours

You must complete 30 state mandated observation hours while enrolled in the program.

Virtual Observations:

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) allows 15 of the 30 observations to be completed by online teaching videos.

Click on Moodle and login, then click on Observations. You will complete the questions and quizzes for each video in Moodle. No forms are required.

To submit your hours, please scan and email your completed forms to your Program Specialist.
